Park Güell Excursion
Gaudí's mosaic garden city, with sweeping views across Barcelona to the sea.
Park Güell is Gaudí's playful hillside park — serpentine mosaic benches, the famous dragon stairway, and terraces that look out over the whole city to the Mediterranean. The photogenic Monumental Zone requires a timed ticket, so it pairs perfectly with an organised port-day visit.
Originally conceived as a garden housing estate, Park Güell became one of Gaudí's most joyful public spaces. The Monumental Zone — the mosaic terrace, the columned Hypostyle Hall and the dragon (or salamander) fountain — is ticketed with timed entry, while the wider park is free to wander.
The park sits above the Gràcia district, so a visit involves some uphill walking or an escalator/mini-bus link from the nearest access point. Cruise excursions handle the transfer door-to-door and time your entry so you're not standing in the standby queue.
Views from the top terraces stretch across the Eixample grid to the Sagrada Família and the port beyond, making it one of the best photo stops in the city for passengers with only a day ashore.

Park Güell Excursion — FAQs
Is Park Güell free?▼
The wider park is free, but the Monumental Zone with the famous mosaics is ticketed with timed entry that should be booked ahead on cruise days.
How much walking is involved?▼
Expect some uphill walking and steps. It's manageable for most but not ideal if you have significant mobility limitations — a private transfer to the upper gate helps.
